‘Game of Thrones’ Recasts Daario Naharis For Season 4

Last season on HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” Daario Naharis (Ed Skrein) was introduced as an ally and potential love interest of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). But a new actor will step into the role of Daario when the series returns in 2014.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Huisman has signed on to “Game of Thrones” Season 4 and he will be the new Daario Naharis. HBO hasn’t officially confirmed the story or offered a reason behind the switch.

“Game of Thrones” has changed performers in the past, most notably with Richard Dormer replacing David Michael Scott as Beric Dondarrion and Ian Whyte taking over as Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Conan Stevens. Joffrey’s younger brother, Tommen will also be recast in season four, with Dean-Charles Chapman taking the role from Callum Wharry.

Huisman (pictured above on the right side) is best known for playing Sonny on HBO’s “Treme” and Liam McGuinnis on ABC’s “Nashville.” Huisman has also appeared in World War Z, First Mission, London Nights and The Young Victoria.

“Game of Thrones” Season 4 will premiere on HBO in Spring 2014.
