Is Ylvis’ “The Fox” the World’s Latest Viral Sensation?

Ok, look…we don't honestly know what Ylvis or their surreal new video "The Fox" are really about any more than you do.

But considering Norweigian brother act Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker seem poised to crack the Internet in half with this weird little concoction, we thought it was only right to put it in front of you and let you decide what the hell is going on here for yourself.

Considering the guys have scared up (and we do mean scared) nearly 500,000 YouTube views within 2 days of posting this little gem, it's fair to say this baby could be headed toward Psy territory with a bullet.

Suffice it to say, if Flight of the Conchords got roofied at a Deadmau5 show, this might be the result.

So yes, the Ylvisåker boys are technically a musical comedy act.  Assuming the guys are well aware of the reaction this video provokes, let's not dwell on deeper meanings here or cross-cultural analysis and just focus on the meat and potatoes these crazy Scandanavians are serving up.

Cosplay…animal sounds…dance numbers…yeah, we're sold.

And really, what DOES the fox say?

Chacha-chacha-chacha-CHOW, indeed.
