Peter Weller is serious about Star Trek Into Darkness. CraveOnline got him talking about the film’s socio-political allegories and just watched him go, giving William “Bibbs” Bibbiani a mini-lecture about the historical parallels to Admiral Marcus’s plans to start a war with the Klingon Empire and dropping Errol Morris’s acclaimed documentary The Fog of War, about former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara to back up his arguments that Star Trek Into Darkness is just an important film, not simply a populist blockbuster.
Weller is right, by the way… If you haven’t seen The Fog of War, you really should.
