Last month, Kim Raver was reportedly in negotiations to reprise her role as Audrey Raines in “24: Live Another Day.” Now that Raver is officially on board, we know that she’s not the only one coming back.
Deadline is reporting that William Devane will also return to the “24” franchise as James Heller, Audrey’s father.
Both Raver and Devane made their “24” debuts at the beginning of the fourth season, when Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) was working with then Secretary of State Heller while in a romantic relationship with Audrey. At the end of “24” Season 6, Jack was forced to leave Audrey in the care of her father after she had been tortured into a near vegetative state by rogue Chinese operatives.
Raver has previously appeared in “Third Watch,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “”The Nine” and “Lipstick Jungle” in addition to a recurring role on NBC’s “Revolution.” Devane recently played the President of the United States in The Dark Knight Rises, but he has a long history on television including roles in “The West Wing,” “The X-Files,” “Stargate SG-1,” “Psych,” “NCIS” and “Revenge.”
Mary Lynn Rajskub will also return as Chloe O’Brian for “24: Live Another Day,” as the story picks up four years after “24” Season 8 and finds Jack Bauer in London shortly before he is forced to go on the run again.
“24: Live Another Day” will premiere in May 2014 on Fox.
