Oliver Stone to Make MLK Movie, in Talks with Jamie Foxx

The last time Oliver Stone and Jamie Foxx teamed up, we got Any Given Sunday. Now, the filmmaker and actor/singer/entertainer may be trying to bring the story of one of the most iconic Americans every to the big screen: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Crave’s Collider website reported Friday that Stone is working with DreamWorks to tell King’s story to the world. Word today is that the director has approached Foxx to star in the movie. It would not be the first time Foxx has portrayed such a notable person. He play Ray Charles in the 2004 film Ray.

Paul Greengrass is already working on a movie depicting the end of King’s life called Memphis.
