Golf Squibs: Cobra Trusty Wedges Save Short Games by Degrees

SQUIB: a : a short humorous or satiric writing or speech; b : a short news item. (Merriam-Webster)

This Golf Squib asks you to admit that we all get into trouble in life — and while playing golf in particular.

The Cobra’s Limited Edition Trusty Wedges have arrived on the scene to offer support during difficult times. They come in nine different loft degree angles — from 48 to 64 degrees. The well-balanced collection of pitching irons are essentially rescue clubs — wedges designed to provide aid when you didn’t put it on the green in regulation. Whether you’ve landed in a bad lie, in sand, a few yards off the green or anywhere needing quick altitude and an accurate impact, the clubs wait in your bag for those moments.

The Trusty club faces are made of chrome plated 8620 carbon steel with larger milled grooves and a notch K-Grind Sole. The entire composition of these wedges (regardless of degree) looks to provide swift elevation  getting you over the lip of a rising pot bunker or up and over a hill ascent to the green. The faces get the ball spinning with accurate speeds, allowing for accurate wedge shots to land and grab green for reduced roll away from the hole.

I keep a Trusty Wedge in my bag for when I lay out and need an extra 40 yards or so to the green. The club’s spot-on weighting allows for an easy swing and clean impact — popping that ball skyward and down into a pinpoint landing (if I do my job correctly).

I wish I could keep all nine wedge angles with me, but I’d be looking at carrying something like 20 clubs in three ton golf bag. Regardless of the degree, bounce and flex you choose, you’ll be able to rely on Trusty Wedge.
