Andrew Bogut Causes Christmas Commotion

Australian Andrew Bogut played the role of the Grinch to perfection on Christmas day, helping the Golden State Warriors edge the Los Angeles Clippers 105-103.

The bad blood between the two Western Conference teams continued on the 25th as Bogut got up to his usual antics, stirring up the Clippers and helping have star Blake Griffin ejected by instigating some unnecessary contact early into the fourth quarter when he nudged Griffin near the neck.

Both players were assessed technicals upon review with Griffin receiving his second and being sent to the locker room.

The Warriors’ physical play factored into the team’s 30-25 final term before Klay Thompson blocked a late Chris Paul runner in the final second.

Altercations continued after the final buzzer as both teams became involved in another scuffle which even saw Warriors assistant Brian Scalabrine in amongst the action.

Bogut finished with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Thompson and Andre Iguodala finished with 23 points apiece.

Chris Paul’s 26 points and 11 assists led the Clippers.
