The first season of NBC’s new adaptation of “Hannibal” stunned viewers with its arresting visuals, dark tone and the great performances of Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen as Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, respectively.
During the season finale, Will finally figured out that Hannibal was the Chesapeake Ripper and the copycat serial killer that plagued him for months. The only problem is that Will didn’t realize the truth until Hannibal set him up to take the fall for every murder that Hannibal committed. Now Will has been imprisoned and Hannibal is free to pursue his extracurricular activities.
NBC has released new trailer for “Hannibal” Season 2 that finds WIll still behind bars as he fruitlessly tries to convince his friends that Hannibal is the real killer. Be warned, there are some major spoilers near the end of the trailer, as Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) find themselves in some very dangerous situations.
“Hannibal” returns to NBC on Friday, February 28.
