Last week, word broke that veteran actress Judy Davis was forced to withdraw from “24: Live Another Day” for personal reasons, leading her role to be recast on relatively short notice. But with production already underway, a replacement has been found.
Former “Game of Thrones” actress Michelle Fairley will assume the recurring role of Margot in “24:Live Another Day.” Margot is the widow of a notorious terrorist who will cross paths with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) during his latest storyline.
In addition to her three season stint on “Game of Thrones,” Fairley was recently recurring on the third season of “Suits.” She has also appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Philomena, “Silent Witness” and “Midsomer Murders,” among many other credits.
“24: Live Another Day” will also feature Mary Lynn Rajskub, William Devane and Kim Raver alongside new characters played by Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt, Stephen Fry and Tate Donovan.
Fox has previously announced that “24: Live Another Day” will premiere on Monday, May 5.
