Fantastic Four’s Doom Choices Down to Four

Josh Trank’s reboot of The Fantastic Four has been roaring toward filming like a freight train — which is a damn good thing considering this thing is set to be released a mere 15 months from now.

And while Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell are all locked in to portray Marvel’s cornerstone team, the production is still hunting for the actor to play the FF’s greatest adversary Dr. Doom.

But it sounds like Trank is zeroing in on his Victor.

As reported by Crave’s movie site SuperHeroHype, the four potential actors who may don the metal mask and green cowl of Von Doom are Domhnall Gleeson (About Time), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables) and Sam Riley (On the Road).

While this assortment of actors apparently insures we’ll get a 30-something British thesp in the role, it’s a list brimming with intriguing options (although if it was up to us, we’d love to see Gleeson assuming Latveria’s throne based off his winning performance in About Time).

But no matter who’s chosen, the clock is ticking very fast here.  Principal photography is set to begin later this month in Louisiana — presumably with a Doom on board — ifr the film’s going to make its June 19, 2015 release date.
