SXSW 2014 VIDEO: The Cast of We’ll Never Have Paris

SXSW 2014: We’ll Never Have Paris – Jason… by CraveOnline

No pressure on this one… by the time I got to The Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX, Maggie Grace had already seen my interview with the directors and producers of Neighbors, in which I feigned fellatio with a microphone. I couldn’t quite make the magic happen twice, but I did get to sing Kumbaya with the Maggie Grace and the rest of the cast of We’ll Never Have Paris, the new romantic comedy from co-directors Simon Helberg and Jocelyn Towne, about their real life break up.

Maggie, if you’re watching this, I really hope I haven’t failed you. But if I did, I’m going to take Melanie Lynskey’s advice and remember that you all care about me. I… I love you guys. I’m sorry, where was I?

Oh yes. Jason Ritter, Maggie Grace and Melanie Lynskey are here with me to hug it out, sing Kumbaya, explain how awkward it was to reenact the break up of their co-directors, analyze the eroticism of shame, give me a pep talk, talk about playing characters loosely based on themselves, and take pleasure in making a romantic comedy about the messier parts of love for a change.

We’ll Never Have Paris is playing this week at SXSW 2014. We hope you get to see it in theaters soon. Until then be sure to also check out our video interview with co-directors Simon Helberg and Jocelyn Towne.
