Bad Words may be Jason Bateman’s movie – he directed and starred in it after all – but that doesn’t mean Kathryn Hahn doesn’t steal it now and again. As “Jenny Widgeon,” the reporter following Bateman around the elementary school spelling bee circuit, documenting his bizarre mission to undermine the authority of the institution, Kathryn Hahn falls prey to Jason Bateman’s misanthropy but also to his sexual charms. She may appear to be a wallflower, but she’s a sexual dynamo with a lot of issues to whom all the men in the film succumb in one form or another.
In this exclusive video interview, Kathryn Hahn explains how she came to co-star in Jason Bateman’s directorial debut, describes her sexual virility, playing a “dirty degenerate,” having sex while consumed by shame, and doing an interview with “a bat in the cave.”
Bad Words is now playing in select theaters, and expands nationwide on March 28, 2014.
