Which Jurassic Park Star is Returning for Jurassic World?

While we’re still more than a year away from the much-anticipated return of the Jurassic Park franchise, we still know precious little about what we’ll actually see when Jurassic World finally hits screens.

While we know Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are on board for director Colin Trevorrow’s dinofest, Jurassic fans have been wondering if Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern or any of the other original trilogy stars will be returning as well.

As it turns out, Trevorrow has now decided to get chatty.

As confirmed to IGN — in a story subsequently picked up by Crave movie site Cinema Blend — the director said there will be at least one familiar face present.

“This hasn’t been announced yet, but BD Wong will be returning as Dr. Henry Wu. He had a much larger role in the original novel, he was the engineer of this breakthrough in de-extinction. He spent two decades living in Hammond’s shadow, underappreciated. We think there’s more to his story.”

While Wong is always a welcome addition to any film’s cast, I’m not sure he’s exactly the character fans of the original films were clamoring for.  But we’ll see if everybody’s happy with the decision when Jurassic World lands in theaters June 12, 2015.
