Kickstarter may be the greatest thing that’s ever happened to the gaming industry. Now, rather than allowing crazy game pitch ideas to quietly disappear into the reject pile in game houses everywhere, the truly oddball offerings get a chance to stand in front of the world and say, “C’mon, is this REALLY that crazy?”
And in the case of Bear Simulator, yes…yes, it’s pretty crazy.
Because, as presented by Crave gaming site Destructoid, Bear Simulator is just what it says it is…it simulates the life of a bear. You…are a bear.
If developer Farjay Studios gets enough of your investment money, you’ll soon be able to amble through the forest on stubby bear legs, fishing for salmon, chase smaller animals (not in that cute Disney “best of friends” kind of way) and generally just cavort through the wilderness as an apex predator.
Farjay is pitching the project as “a mini Skyrim, but you’re a bear.”
Well said, gentlemen…well said.
If you’d like to contribute to the Kickstarter campaign so you can one day full the thrill of bowling through Jellystone Park, hunting for pic-i-nic baskets with your vest-wearing bear buddy, head over to Destructoid and follow the link.
