The excitement of Major League Baseball's Opening Day is always a high point of the sports year. So much optimism, so much energy, so much hoopla.
And since we know the only thing the kids love more than Opening Day is Opening Day with bobbleheads, the Detroit Tigers decided to take the bobblehead fun one step further and commission a giant springy-necked version of their reigning American League Cy Young winner Max Scherzer to sit outside Monday's home opener at Comerica Park.
The only unfortunate side of the whole idea — the bobblehead is just incredibly freaky-lookin'.

As noted by Crave sports site NESN, it was a nice touch that the bobblehead maestros captured Scherzer's different-colored eyes just so, but the combination of that unusual trait along with the eerie, Howdy Doody smile just make this — well, pretty nightmare-inducing.
So, all you Detroit dads, if you want your' kids to get any sleep tonight, DON'T bring them to Opening Day. That's a public service announcement from your friends at CraveOnline.
