Don Peyote: Exclusive Announcement and Stills

You loved him in Balls of Fury, you were kind of surprised that he showed up in “Hannibal,” and now you’re about to see him direct his first movie since 2009’s Hysterical Psycho along with co-writer Michael Canzoniero (The Marconi Brothers). CraveOnline is happy to announce that their new film Don Peyote is coming to iTunes and VOD on May 9, and to theaters on May 16, 2014. The film stars Fogler as a stoner whose midlife crisis gives him visions of the apocalypse, co-stars Josh Duhamel (Transformers), Jay Baruchel (This is the End), Wallace Shawn (My Dinner with Andre), Annabella Sciorra (Jungle Fever), Abel Ferrara (Ms. 45), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3) and Anne Hathaway (Ella Enchanted, and some other stuff as well).

DON PEYOTE tells the story Warren Allman (Dan Fogler), an unemployed stoner who finally finds a purpose in life after an unpleasant encounter with a homeless man preaching the end is near. Fueled by vivid apocalyptic dreams, Warren becomes obsessed with 2012 doomsday theories and decides to make a documentary on the subject while his fiancé is busy planning their wedding.
