40% of Women Send Sexually Explicit Selfies, Survey Shows

40% of women have sent explicit photo/video selfies of themselves to others, a new survey has revealed.

The survey, conducted by webcam site Cam4, revealed that the sending of sexually explicit selfies is becoming a much more common habit among people aged under 35, with 40% of women saying that they have sent images and/or videos of themselves either nude or semi-clothed to someone through cell phones or via social media sites and apps.

The survey also also revealed that 26% of men and women aged under 35 had admitted to recording and/or taking photographs of themselves engaged in a sexual act with their partner, while 48% said they would do so if “the moment was right.”

The survey also debunked the myth that porn is more commonly watched by the “Forever Alone” types, as it discovered that the individuals who have the most sexual partners/sexual relations actually watch the most pornographic material. It also noted in the survey’s results that those who frequently watch porn also have a more diverse sex life, with 32% having had sex with more than one partner in the last week.

The survey, conducted by France’s leading survey institute IFOP, was conducted on a sample of 1,023 people representative of the US population, all aged 18 and over. Speaking of the survey, an IFOP spokesperson said that it “shatters certain preconceptions about pornography. It also provides an update on usages and modes of consumption, which have evolved significantly over the last 20 years.”

The spokesperson added: “A growing number of young people are developing new forms of fantasy and masturbatory activities via interactive tools, whose attraction lies in the fact they enable mutual stimulation between partners.”
