During tonight’s second season finale of “Arrow,” The CW released the first teaser for its upcoming spinoff series, “The Flash.”
Based upon the iconic DC superhero, “The Flash” was seeded earlier this season on “Arrow” when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) gave Team Arrow a hand before he was struck by the fallout from an exploding particle accelerator.
When Barry awakens in “The Flash” several months after his accident, he discovers that he has become the fastest man alive. Unfortunately, The Flash isn’t the only one to walk away from the explosion with superpowers as he discovers that several supervillains have emerged in its wake.
Rather than show off any of the footage from “The Flash” pilot, The CW’s teaser features Amell in character as the Arrow when his target practice is interrupted by his mischievous friend.
“The Flash” will also feature Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Tom Cavanagh and even John Wesley Shipp, the star of the first “Flash” TV series from 1990.
The CW will announce “The Flash’s” place on its fall schedule later this month.
