NHRA Driver Antron Brown Survives Terrifying Crash

NHRA Top Fuel driver Antron Brown seems to have nine lives.

The 2012 Top Fuel champion escaped a spectacular crash unharmed at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals this past weekend. Brown lost control of his car near the finish line during his qualifying run.

But this crash wasn't the first for Brown.

Brown also had a terrifying crash last year at the Winternationals when his 300 mph dragster exploded, taking out both rear tires, sending the car into the wall as it burst into flames.

During this year's 2014 Winternationals, I asked Brown what was going through his mind during that crash.

After this weekend's crash, Brown had to be thinking "Oh no, not again!"

This video just illustrates the danger of the sport. The bravado of these thrill-seeking drivers simply boggles the mind and puts everything into perspective. Which other athletes take the risks that these guys take every time they hit the track?

At this rate, Antron Brown might be the next Evil Knievel.
