The completely absurd and therefore stunningly entertaining hit film Sharknado is coming back for a second round, with the Syfy network dropping a teaser trailer for the literally named sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One.
This time round New York City falls victim to the catastrophic storm that lifts swarms of man-eating, teeth gnashing sharks onto the unsuspecting populace. The original film’s stars and ’90s TV pillars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid are back to reprise their roles.
According to IMBD, the two stars will this time be joined by an all star cast which includes Vivica A. Fox, Kelly Osbourne, Billy Ray Cyrus, Judah Friedlander and Andy Dick. The film is set to premiere in the US on July 30th, and it will air on Australian TV just minutes later, on Foxtel’s Syfy channel on July 31st at 11.30am.
