A Brazilian TV station has blamed Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger for “jinxing” their World Cup 2014 chances, leading to him being “cyber-bullied.”
Jagger has had a poor run of form with his predictions for the World Cup tournament, with six teams he touted to win their matches having all failed to do so. Jagger even claimed that he believed Portugal would win the tournament, before the country crashed out in the group stages.

Now Jagger has found himself being branded the “Angel of Doom” by Brazil fans, after attending the match in which the home nation suffered a humiliating 7-1 defeat to Germany alongside his Brazilian son, Lucas. TV station R7 also dubbed him the “biggest jinx in history,” leading to Lucas’ mother Luciana Giminez publicly defending the singer.
“He’s suffering cyber-bullying, and I’d ask people to think before doing it,” Luciana said. “He’s been successful for 50 years and is a good friend and father to my son.”
