Lionel Messi, arguably the best footballer in the world, has scored half of the Argentine goals so far during 2014’s World Cup. Still without a title at this point in his rather storied career, he’s practically salivating at the idea of hoisting the cup, and his league teammates are cheering him on. One can only imagine the conversations he has had with the likes of (cup winners) Xavi or Iniesta.

Messi’s key performance has helped Argentina hold on by the skin of their teeth through the group, quarter and semifinal stages. Will it be enough for the final?

We’ll see you Sunday after the pivotal final match!
