The creative team behind “The Walking Dead” TV series has been known to remix the original story that unfolded within The Walking Dead comics by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard But during the fourth season of “The Walking Dead,” there was an episode called “After” that was one of the most direct adaptations of the comic since the pilot episode.

In this exclusive video from Anchor Bay’s upcoming The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season DVD and Blu-ray set, a bonus featurette called “Drawing Inspiration” includes Kirkman and executive producer Greg Nicotero explaining how they used The Walking Dead # 49 & # 50 in the production of “After” as series stars Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs share their thoughts on the evolution of Rick and Carl’s dynamic after the fall of the prison.
The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season DVD and Blu-ray sets will include all 16 episodes from season 4 in addition to audio commentaries, deleted scenes and several behind-the-scenes featurettes. Anchor Bay will release The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season on Tuesday, August 26.
