At the end of “Arrow” Season 2, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) disappeared in the flashback sequence and in the present, Sara left Starling City with the League of Assassins and Nyssa after passing the “Canary” jacket to her sister, Laurel (Katie Cassidy).
While that seemed to be the end of Lotz’s time on “Arrow” as a recurring actress, it doesn’t mean that she’ll be off the show for very long. TV Guide is reporting that Lotz will reprise her role as Sara Lance in the third season premiere of “Arrow.”
Prior to “Arrow,” Lotz appeared in “Mad Men,” “Death Valley,” “Burning Love” and “Law & Order: Los Angeles.”
There’s currently no indication about whether Lotz will continue to stay on the show. The “Arrow” creative team has indicated that they will be developing a relationship between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), which doesn’t leave much room for Sara.

In the same TV Guide report, “Arrow” and “The Flash” executive producer Greg Berlanti confirmed that Felicity’s romantic connection with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be dealt with across both shows. “We have all sorts of romantic possibilities for both of them on both shows. Hopefully the first time Felicity comes to town, we’ll deal with all that stuff.”
“Arrow” Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, October 8.
