This December, the incredibly popular characters from the Toy Story trilogy will return to ABC for a new Christmas special. Following up on the success of Toy Story of Terror, the new special, Toy Story That Time Forgot finds Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Picklepants and Rex trapped on a playdate that’s gone horribly wrong.
A forgotten group of toys live in the home of Bonnie’s friend, Mason. And these new toys are dangerous because they don’t realize what they really are.

Kristen Schaal’s Trixie the triceratops takes center stage in Toy Story That Time Forgot, as she befriends the new group of toys while struggling with her place in Bonnie’s stable of toys. Schaal originated the role in Toy Story 3. Schaal is also a former contributor to “The Daily Show” who has had several memorable roles in “30 Rock,” “Flight of the Conchords,” “Wilfred” and a voiceover role in “Bob’s Burgers.”
We caught up with Schaal at Comic-Con International where she told us about Trixie’s big role in Toy Story That Time Forgot, her interactions with the new characters and which actor she got to play off while recording her lines.
