New York Comic-Con 2014: Event Update #1

New York Comic-Con is coming up on October 9-12, and we hope you got your tickets already because it looks like they’re all gone. Sorry about that. But if you are attending you’re pretty darned lucky. X Japan is performing on October 11 and they rock hard – so very, very hard – so make sure get tickets while you can and bang your heads like crazy.

In our latest Event Update, William Bibbiani reminds you that New York Comic-Con is very different from San Diego Comic-Con: the movie studios don’t dominate the floor and panels nearly as much, leaving a lot more room for great comic book coverage (remember comics? they’re in the name of the danged conventions so maybe we should give them their due), but also TV announcements as well.

Last year, New York Comic-Con brought us news about the return of Miracleman, Marvel’s Inhumanity event, DC’s Forever Evil event, the video games Watch DogsSuper Mario 3D World and South Park: The Stick of Truth, and TV news about the popular series “Archer,” “The Venture Bros.,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “The Walking Dead.” In movies, we got a new poster from Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D. (Whee.)

What will 2014 bring to New York Comic-Con? Only time will tell, but we’ll stay on it and bring you the best coverage possible, right here at CraveOnline.
