Look out 2017 and 2018. We got machines from the future.
We were all a little apprehensive when Paramount announced that they would be making a fifth film in their strangely persistent Terminator franchise, likely perpetuated less by the middling success of Terminator Salvation, and more by the passionate cult that has arisen around the now-defunct Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The newest film will be called Terminator: Genisys.
Paramount Pictures announced this morning that Terminator: Genisys will, in fact, be the first part in a planned trilogy of Terminator films. The current plan is to release Genisys on the 1st of July, 2015, and the two additional films will be presumably shot back-to-back, eventually being released on May 19th, 2017 and June 29th, 2018 respectively. There is no word as to whether or not Genisys director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) will also be helming the other two films.

Terminator: Genisys will star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, and Matt Smith.
