Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is out on DVD and Blu-ray today with a set that contains all 22 episodes from the first season.
In addition to behind-the-scenes featurettes, audio commentaries and a blooper reel, the DVD and Blu-ray releases feature deleted scenes that didn’t quite make the cut.
Before you go out to buy “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Marvel and ABC have released three of the deleted scenes for your viewing pleasure. In the first, Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) share a moment after one of their earliest missions together.
For the second deleted scene, Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) asks Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) for help after she shot Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) while snooping around for information. Although given what we learned about Sitwell in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, she probably shouldn’t feel so bad.
And finally, the third clip offers some much needed insight into the relationship between Simmons and Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). But you’ll have to excuse the Italian subtitles. This was the only version of the clip that I saw on Youtube.
“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 will premiere on ABC on Tuesday, September 23.
