This week, Vertigo is releasing Fairest Volume 4: Cinderella – Of Men and Mice, the collected edition of Fairest # 21 to # 27.
In the world of Fables, Cinderella wasn’t just a fairy tale princess. As reimagined by series creator Bill Willingham, Cinderella was the ultimate secret agent who dedicated her immortal life to spycraft in defense of Fabletown, the home of history’s most well known legends and characters.
For Fairest Volume 4, writer Marc Andreyko and artist Shawn McManus teamed up for a story that put Cinderella in the front and center of another solo adventure. Per the official description, “Cinderella returns in an all-new epic! After an assassination attempt on Snow White, Cind is called back into service to unravel an age-old conspiracy that dates back to that fateful midnight ball! Can Cind uncover the plot and prevent a massacre in Fabletown?”
