Best YouTube Videos Of Royals Wild Card Win

The Royals gave their fans something Tuesday night they haven’t seen in nearly three decades — a post-season win.

In fact, they haven’t even made the post-season since they won the World Series in 1985. After down five runs late in Tuesday night’s game against the Athletics, it appeared all had been lost, which included fan morale. At one point Kauffman stadium was as quite as the nearby plains that border the city. News reports later stated fans were leaving the game early.

But the Royals persevered and brought the stadium back to life, coming from behind to force extra innings, eventually capping off the night with a Salvador Perez 12th inning walk-off hit to win 9-8, advancing to the ALDS to face the Angels.

Kansas City went bonkers.
