Exclusive First Look: Wytches # 2 Cover By Rafael Albuquerque

Witches are real… at least in the world of Wytches, the new creator owned comic book series by Scott Snyder and Jock. Published by Image Comics, the premise of Wytches is that everything we thought we knew about witches was wrong. The real witches are far more terrifying than we’ve collectively imagined. They’re only vaguely human, with an appetite for human flesh and power.

The first issue of Wytches was released earlier this month and it featured a young girl named Sail, who witnessed her nemesis/bully, Annie as she was seemingly claimed by something evil within the forest. Unfortunately for Sail, Annie has reappeared and she’s been visibly transformed. What has she been transformed into? And what does she want from Sail?

Ahead of the new issue of Wytches, CraveOnline is proud to present an exclusive first look at Rafael Albuquerque’s variant cover for Wytches # 2, which will be released through Back Ball/Laughing Ogre/Austin Books.

Albuquerque is the artist of American Vampire, a Vertigo comic book series written by Snyder. Colorist Matt Hollingsworth, letterer Clem Robins and editor David Brothers round out the Wytches creative team. Wytches # 2 will haunt comic book shops on Wednesday, November 19.

But if you want another taste of what to expect from this series, here’s a six page Wytches standalone story by Snyder and Jock.
