Earlier this year, Marvel announced that it will be reviving Secret Wars in May 2015 as a 12 issue miniseries event by Avengers writer, Jonathan Hickman and artist Esad Ribic.
While 1984’s Secret Wars featured Marvel’s heroes and villains transported to Battleworld that was made up of different planets, the new Battleworld will be on a much grander scale. This time, Battleworld is comprised of several different Marvel timelines, including Civil War, Years of Future Past, Age of Apocalypse, X-Men ‘92, the Ultimate Universe and even the mainstream Marvel Universe.
Today, Marvel released a massive map of the new Battleworld (click on the image to see it in full size) and it contained a lot more alternate timelines than the company has previously hinted. CraveOnline’s sister site, SuperHeroHype has analyzed the map and identified some of the new alternate realities that will be making an appearance during Secret Wars.
Some of the more intriguing observations include Weirdworld, the mystical city of K’un Lun, and even New Quack City from Howard the Duck’s home world! It also appears that Manhattan is fused between the Ultimate Universe and the original Marvel Universe.
