The Star Wars comic book franchise began at Marvel Comics. Next month, Star Wars is coming back to Marvel… and the results have been “most impressive.”
According to a report on ComicBook.com, Marvel’s Star Wars relaunch is set to sell over a million copies thanks to an aggressive marketing push, several variant covers, and comic book store promotions. Of course, it also helps to have a stellar creative team. On Star Wars, writer Jason Aaron (Wolverine and The X-Men) is joined by artist John Cassaday (Uncanny Avengers).
StarWars.com has debuted the first three preview pages from Star Wars # 1, which finds Han, Luke and Leia in a situation that we’ve seen them in several times before. But the art is really eye-pleasing and Cassaday seems to have captured the likenesses well.

Star Wars # 1 will be released on Wednesday, January 14 2015.
