“It’s getting arrested that makes people look guilty.” – Saul Goodman
Have you heard that AMC is releasing a “Breaking Bad” prequel series early next year? In the incredibly unlikely event that your answer is “no,” AMC is doing everything that it can to remind viewers that Saul Goodman is coming back in “Better Call Saul.”
“Better Call Saul” takes place six years before “Breaking Bad” as a slightly younger Saul (Bob Odenkirk) was still going by his real name, Jimmy McGill. While the Saul Goodman of “Breaking Bad” infamously described himself as a “criminal lawyer” and avoided courtrooms, “Jimmy” actually has to go to court and defend his shifty clients… if he can.
AMC has released four teaser trailers for “Better Call Saul,” including two new ones today. The first two, “Mug” and “Clean Shirts, Dirty Lawyer” only hint at Saul’s later persona, as opposed to the man that he is at the beginning of “Better Call Saul.”
However, “Atone” and “Speed Dial” actually give fans a better look at the series itself, as we see Saul struggle with his clients and himself while trying to get ahead.
“Better Call Saul” will premiere on Sunday, February 8, 2015 before settling into its regular night on Monday, February 9, 2015 on AMC.
