Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Releases New Enemy Screenshots

Resident Evil: Revelations 2, the upcoming episodic installment of the popular survival horror series, just released new details and pictures of the different enemies you’ll have to survive against. While we’ve seen some of these before, Revelations 2 threw a couple of curve balls with this new release.

First off, we have the Revenant, a sort of “Frankenstein’s monster”-esque enemy (if Doctor Frankenstein was doing his best Picasso impression). This one also gave new details on a new character’s ability. Natalia, a child with the group, has the ability to sense an enemy’s weak spot during combat, and you will need to do that in order to easily defeat the Revenant.

The other two monster reveals are the “Othrus,” a kind of zombie dog, or boar, or any other pack hunting four-legged creature infected with the virus, and the “Sploder,” which does exactly what you think it does. Sure, it sounds like the way a five-year-old would say “exploder,” but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying.

The only new thing with the Sploder is that, instead of simply doing massive damage when exploding, the vile liquid can blind the player temporarily. These juicy screenshots should help keep fans satisfied until the first episode’s February release date. Each episode will cost $5.99, with the complete four-episode season releasing later at $24.99.
