There’s going to be a lot more of “The Walking Dead” on AMC. It’s only a question of when.
While AMC hasn’t yet given a series order to “The Walking Dead” companion series (previously rumored to be called “Cobalt” and “Fear The Walking Dead’), most of the cast is in place and it will likely get picked. Because “The Walking Dead’ companion series takes place in Los Angeles at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse, it was widely assumed that the cast of the main series wouldn’t meet any of the characters from the spinoff.
However, Nerdist News is reporting that one of the stars of “The Walking Dead” companion series will appear in six episodes of “The Walking Dead” Season 6. Because the companion series is essentially a prequel, that means that at least one of the characters from that show would have survived to cross the country and encounter Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors.

The report didn’t specify which character from the companion series would crossover. The currently announced characters of the companion series include Sean Cabrera (Cliff Curtis) and his girlfriend, Nancy Tomkins (Kim Dickens). Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey will play Nancy’s children, Nick and Ashley.
Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson created “The Walking Dead” companion series. AMC will probably make a decision about the show’s future early this year.
