Assuming that you’re up to date with Marvel’s “Agent Carter,” then you’ve seen that Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is having a hard time clearing Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) from treason charges.
No one at the S.S.R. respects Peggy, her neighbor Dottie (Bridget Regan) is apparently an enemy agent sent to spy on her and even Howard Stark has been lying to Peggy about the contents of his most secret project.
But on this week’s episode of “Agent Carter,” Peggy finally gets to back into the field alongside her old friends, The Howling Commandos. Neal McDonough reprises his role Dum Dum Dugan from Captain America: The First Avenger, the Agent Carter One-Shot film and a cameo on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” earlier this season.
However, most of the Howling Commandos in this episode are characters who didn’t appear in The First Avenger. Former “Heroes” star Leonard Roberts is portraying Happy Sam Sawyer, with Richard Short as Pinky Pinkerton and James Austin Kerr as Jonathan “Junior” Juniper.
If you know your Howling Commando comics, then you may remember that one of these characters has a very unlucky history. The question is whether that history will be revisited in this episode.
Marvel has released the first extended preview clip from “Agent Carter” Episode 5, as Peggy introduces her colleague, Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) to her old war buddies.
“Agent Carter” continues on Tuesday, February 3.
