Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended by the BBC after a “fracas” with one of the show’s producers.
The British broadcaster has confirmed that it will be conducting an investigation after the controversial English rev-head was involved in the incident.
The BBC has not gone into specifics, however Radio Times is reporting that Clarkson “punched a producer”.
“Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation,” the BBC said in a statement. “No-one else has been suspended.”
Top Gear would not be broadcast this Sunday, the broadcaster added.
Clarkson, 54, is no stranger to controversy, and Top Gear is well-known for its provocative stunts. The BBC gave Clarkson his “final warning” in May 2014, after he used a racist term in the children’s rhyme “Eeny Meeny, Miney, Mo”. At the time, the broadcaster said that “one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time” would cost Clarkson his job.

Sorry Ed. It seems I knocked your “I’m a human” piece down the news agenda.
