In 1996, Danny Trejo had a small role in the original From Dusk Till Dawn as Razor Charlie. However, Trejo will soon have a much bigger part in the upcoming second season of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.
Via Variety, El Rey Network has announced that Trejo has been signed to appear in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series Season 2 as The Regulator, “a horrifying evil agent who has been summoned to perform a deadly errand.”
Trejo has previously worked with From Dusk Till Dawn producer Robert Rodriguez on two Machette feature films, Desperado, Spy Kids, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Predators. Trejo has also appeared in Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Heat and numerous other film and television projects.

Step Up 2 actress Briana Evigan is also joining the cast of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series during the second season. Evigan will portray Sonja, “an American expatriate working as a tattoo artist in a Mexican mercado, who has a sideline gig forging papers and passports out of her back room.”
The Variety report also describes where the surviving characters will be in the second season.
“Season 2 kicks off with the characters in their own separate worlds — Santanico (Eiza González) and Richie (Zane Holtz) are living like Bonnie and Clyde outside of Houston; Seth (D.J. Cotrona) and Kate (Madison Davenport) are scraping by South of the Border; Freddie (Jesse Garcia) is protecting his wife and daughter in a Houston suburb; and Carlos (Wilmer Valderrama) and Scott (Brandon Soo-Hoo) emerge from the Titty Twister, as changed men. They will all come together once again to face off against an even bigger threat.”
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series Season 2 is currently filming and it is expected to premiere later this year.
