SXSW 2015 Video: Michael Showalter & Max Greenfield on ‘Hello, My Name is Doris’

SXSW 2015: Michael Showalter and Max Greenfield… by CraveOnline

Hello, My Name is Doris is a new comedy about a woman in her 60s (played by the inimitable Sally Field) who, after a self-help seminar, begins romantically and sexually pursuing a much younger man (Max Greenfield) who works in her office. The film’s writer/director, Michael Showalter (They Came Together, The Baxter, Wet Hot American Summer) and the coveted stud Max Greenfield sat down with CraveOnline‘s own William Bibbiani at SXSW 2015 to talk about the movie, how it started its life as a short, and where the line between broad comedy and poignant comedy lies.

They also talk a lot about how hot Sally Field is, the trouble of straddling genres, and how comedies can actually have some heart. Keep coming back to CraveOnline for more exclusive SXSW 2015 videos, interviews and reviews!
