Canada’s largest Electronic Sports event is coming to Montreal this summer – the Electronic Sports World Cup Counter-Strike GO world finals will be presented by E-sports experts Oxent and the Mondial des jeux Loto-Quebec Just for Laughs.
Under the ESWC banner, the world’s best professional players will qualify through worldwide events, which will lead them to the finals in Montreal. From July 9-12, these elite players will partake in a mixed team format as well as a females-only final. This tournament will take place during the 2nd edition of the Mondial des jeux Loto-Québec, the world’s largest free gaming festival.

ESWC strategically chose Montreal as its next destination as it is currently third in the world in video game development. Over 9500 jobs are created through this flourishing economic sector, with over 15 different campuses offering various gaming programs.
