Apparently, Mother’s Day wasn’t terribly exciting or long-lived for a lot of people, as gamers were logging on in record numbers. This was in the morning, you know, when people should have been out with their families and celebrating their moms, but what do we know? At about 11 o’clock in the morning, 9.5 million Steam users shattered the two-month old record set back in March, which came out to 9 million concurrent users.
Also Steam revealed the top games at the time, and unsurprisingly, among the top ten were Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Now, go call your mom if you didn’t talk to her yesterday because you were too busy running over pedestrians all day in GTA V.
Thanks to Crave’s Game Revolution for the Steam update.
