Tickets for Steven Gerrard’s Last Liverpool Game Being Sold for £2,500

Ticket touts are drastically marking up the price on tickets for Steven Gerrard’s final game for Liverpool, with them being sold for up to a whopping £2,500 compared to their official price of between £37-£49.

The match, which will see Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in what is classified as a ‘category C’ game, will mark Liverpool captain Gerrard’s last time playing for the club (at least in a permanent role) before he sets off to the MLS in order to link up with LA Galaxy. As such, touts have snapped up the opportunity to earn an extra buck, with prices on ticketbis.net ranging anywhere from £198 to a staggering £2,500.

A few tickets for the game will officially go on sale on Wednesday, though they will only be offered up to Liverpool fans. With demand set to be high for Gerrard’s last game, the touts are inevitably pushing their way to the front of the pack in order to make a quick buck (or over 2,000 bucks) in order for football fans to witness the club legend’s final game for his team.

Most surprisingly, the £2,500 tickets are for seats in Anfield Road – the club’s away stand – and are priced just £499 cheaper than obtaining a VIP or Executive box. If you’re a Liverpool fan and are considering feeding these touts by purchasing one of these ludicrously overpriced tickets, and are willing to pay £2,500 to sit alongside the Crystal Palace fans, then you should probably just piss more money up the wall by securing one of these private boxes instead.

If you don’t want to have to deal with significantly increased ticket prices purchased from punters, then you’ll want to make sure that you’re ready to snap up a ticket on Wednesday.
