So it’s looking likely that Fallout 4 will be announced in the next 24 hours.
The Fallout series’ developer Bethesda posted an update to the official Fallout website, informing fans to “Please Stand By.” The site features a countdown to June 3rd, meaning we’ll likely see our first glimpse at Fallout 4 tomorrow.
It was hoped that Bethesda would be staging their Fallout 4 announcement at this year’s E3, given that the studio are staging a press conference during the event. However, this countdown indicates that we may be getting a look at the game before then.
As noted by Videogamer’s David Scammell, the site’s source code also contains a reference to Fallout 3‘s Masterbrain, reading: “PA system failure occured. Shutdown of the Masterbrain has been authorized and all sensitive materials have been removed for security purposes. Please attempt re-access. Have a pleasant day.”
Suffice to say this has significantly brightened up our Tuesday.
