The upcoming animated move, Justice League: Gods & Monsters is bringing an all-new version of the classic superhero team as envisioned by Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett.
This isn’t any Justice League that we’ve ever seen before. Batman isn’t Bruce Wayne, Princess Diana isn’t Wonder Woman and Clark Kent isn’t Superman. In fact, Kal-El doesn’t even exist in this world!
Instead, Superman is the son of General Zod, who was raised on Earth by Mexican immigrants. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have released the second episode of the Justice League: Gods & Monsters Chronicles, which puts the focus on this new Superman as he attempts to deal with Brainiac.
And while this Superman isn’t devoid of compassion, he isn’t the Man of Steel that Clark Kent was. He may not even be a hero…

Benjamin Bratt stars in Justice League: Gods & Monsters as Superman, with Michael C. Hall as Kirk Langstrom/Batman, Tamara Taylor as Bekka / Wonder Woman, Jason Isaacs as Lex Luthor, Paget Brewster as Lois Lane, C. Thomas Howell as Dr. Will Magnus. The film was directed by Sam Liu from a story by Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett.
The third episode of Justice League: Gods & Monsters Chronicles will focus on the Wonder Woman of this world.
