Heroes wrapped up its original four season run five years ago as Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) revealed her powers to the world against her father’s wishes.
The upcoming Heroes Reborn 13 episode miniseries will catch up with some of the original cast members, alongside a new group of superpowered characters. Presumably Claire’s revelation remains in canon, as the new teaser for Heroes Reborn asks “Where are the Heroes?” while depicting some really bleak spots in our very troubled world.
Of course, the snarky answer to that question is that Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia, and Zachary Quinto are busy having careers. But presumably there will be some explanation within the miniseries about the whereabouts of Claire, Peter, and Sylar.
Masi Oka is the most prominent returning cast member, who will guest star on Heroes Reborn as Hiro Nakamura. Jack Coleman’s Noah Bennett will be one of the lead characters alongside Greg Grunberg’s Matt Parkman, Sendhil Ramamurthy’s Mohinder Suresh, Jimmy Jean-Louis’ The Haitian and Cristine Rose as Angela Petrelli.
The new characters of Heroes Reborn will be portrayed by Zachary Levi, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Henry Zebrowski, Gatlin Green, Dylan Bruce and Nazneen Contractor.
Heroes Reborn will premiere on Thursday, September 24 on NBC.
