I guess this is what happens when you outsource the PC port of a massive game like Batman: Arkham Knight to a third party that only put twelve people on the job (according to the game credits).
Many thousands of reports coming in via Steam and Amazon have revealed awfully unoptimized game performance on even the best hardware, as well as a consistent presence of bugs, both game breaking and not. Rocksteady Studios has stated that they are aware of the many issues the PC port has. In fact, the issue and the reports have now gotten so out of control that WB has decided to completely suspend sales of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight until further notice.
