Crave Hosts ‘Pacific Rim’ Midnight Screening on July 10th

Everyone’s favorite big budget giant robots vs. giant monsters movie returns to the big screen on Friday, July 10th in Los Angeles, CA. You’re welcome, internet.

That’s right, Crave’s B-Movies Podcast is presenting our very own 2K screening of Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim at the historic Nuart Theatre, and tickets are on sale now. You will be able to relive all the sci-fi action just as God intended – in a movie theater – with Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham in attendance to answer all your questions and help B-Movies Podcast co-host Witney Seibold give away hundreds of dollars worth or prizes, including Blu-rays, TV boxed sets, special edition posters and more!

Directed by Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth), Pacific Rim tells the story of a near future in which the Earth is threatened by giant monsters called Kaiju, which repeatedly emerge from the ocean depths, and which can only be defeated by giant robots called Jaegers. But the monsters keep getting bigger, and soon mankind’s last hope rests in an older model mecha piloted by unlikely teammates Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam) and Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi).

Co-starring Idris Elba (Thor), Charlie Day (The LEGO Movie), Burn Gorman (Torchwood) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy), this epic sci-fi thriller took the world by storm in 2013, but wasn’t a big hit in the U.S. until it hit home video. That means that many of you hardcore Pacific Rim fans will finally get to experience Pacific Rim on the big screen for the very first time courtesy of The Nuart Theatre, Crave and The B-Movies Podcast.

Yeah, like we said: you’re welcome.

You can buy your tickets now or try your luck at the box office on Friday night. The show begins at 11:59pm, preceded by a Q&A with screenwriter Travis Beacham, a prize giveaway and more. Come on down and enjoy the show, and don’t forget to invite all your friends because this is going to be our most epic midnight screening yet!
