As you might have read yesterday, Sinead O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus after Cyrus stated in an interview that her new look and the concept of her video for “Wrecking Ball” were both inspired by O’Connor’s iconic video for “Nothing Compares 2 U“. So if you’re a jaded nihilist or a tween Miley fan deluded my your hero worship, you can probably make the case that O’Connor’s letter was self-serving and strictly done for attention without a hint of irony as you like a pic of Miley on Instagram sticking out her tongue. But if you actually read the letter, O’Connor’s letter was thoughtful, supportive, encouraging, and tried to explain that rubbing your ass on married men and getting naked, you know, might not be female empowerment. How did Miley respond? Like an entitled cunt, of course.

Man, how badass! Making fun of the mental breakdown that happened two years ago to the person who was trying to use her experience in the music industry to give you some much needed guidance is pretty gangsta. But why stop there? Why not try to humilate this person more to feed your own overinflated ego and unfounded sense of invincibility? Oh, you did? Sweet!

Classy. Much like her Terry Richardson photos where she pretends a can is her dick. But if Miley thought she could mock Sinead then flip her hair and walk away while getting showered with support from her dumb fans, it didn’t happen. Because Sinead wrote another letter. You have posted today tweets of mine which are two years old, which were posted by me when I was unwell and seeking help so as to make them look like they are recent. In doing so you mock myself and Amanda Bynes for having suffered with mental health issues and for having sought help. I mean really really… who advises you? have you any idea how stupid and dangerous it is to mock people for suffering illness? You will yourself one day suffer such illness, that is without doubt. The course you have set yourself upon can only end in that, trust me. I am staggered that any 20 yr old woman of the 21st century could behave in such a dangerous and irresponsible manner as to not only send the signal to young women that its ok to act like prostitutes but also to the signal that those who have suffered or do suffer mental health problems are to be mocked and have their opinions invalidated. Have you no sense of danger at all? or responsibility? Remove your tweets immediately or you will hear from my lawyers. I am certain you will be hearing from all manner of mental health advocacy groups also. It is not acceptable to mock any person for having suffered.
You can make all the excuses for Miley Cyrus if you want, but just know there are none. It’s important to me that you understand that. The only way Miley could more of a vile human being is if she injects a kitten with heroin while signing over her parental right to Kris Jenner.
