Indian Motorcycle #001 Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Sells for Charity

Back in March of this year, Indian Motorcycle released the 2016 Limited Edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Vintage motorcycles. Producing a run of 150 bikes adorned with special art and a color scheme from the iconic bourbon brand, the bikes sold out in eight hours. But, a single bike remained at home #001, first off the line.

Now, Indian Motorcycle accounted that the (deep breath) #001 Limited Edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycle sold at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction for $150,000. The entirety of that amount will go to benefit of Operation Ride Home, a charity assisting active duty U.S. military personnel looking to travel home to visit family. The Jack Daniels-sponsored charity partners with the Armed Services and the YMCA.

The Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycles were designed to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery and built by Klock Werks Kustom Cycles. Each fender is inscribed with the names of the seven Master Distillers who oversaw the Jack Daniel’s distilling process over its 150 year history.
